Many people who have gotten involved with Mayatan in some way - whether it be by sponsoring a student, visiting the campus of Mayatan Bilingual School while on a trip to the famous Maya ruins, or a former teacher - have mentioned their wish to help Mayatan even more by assisting with fundraising efforts. We certainly welcome the extra help and have put up this page to show some ways that you can do some fundraising of your own on Mayatan's behalf.
Mayatan Foundation is trying hard to use the World Wide Web as an effective tool for communicating with a potential base of supporters. We are constantly working towards broadening our online presence. If you have your own website, subscribe to RSS feeds, use online media sites, or social networking sites please visit the ‘Connect to Us’ page for a list of ways you can show your support for Mayatan. While this may seem like a very small contribution, there are millions of people using the internet and each one of them is a potential investor in Mayatan and the students of Copán Ruinas.
Currently, we have a few items available for download that can assist you in letting people to know about Mayatan. Fliers such as advertisements for teachers or students seeking sponsors are currently available in PDF format. We are in the process of developing electronic presentations for you to download as well. Some of the best advertising for Mayatan Foundation is conducted through “Word of Mouth”. Many of our current sponsors, supporters and international teachers learned about Mayatan's work because they knew somebody who had either traveled to Copán Ruinas, was sponsoring a student, or had taught for Mayatan in the past. One of the easiest ways you can help Mayatan is to let all of your friends, family, coworkers and anyone else who be interested know all about Mayatan.
