Music at Mayatan

Our music program is in its infancy – right now there are simply not enough instruments to go around. We would love to enhance the young lives of our students by helping them to appreciate music and all of the benefits that come from learning to play an instrument. The opportunity for them to bring music to the community through small performances is also a benefit for our students' self-esteem and the community outreach of Mayatan. There is much talent waiting to be harvested and a vibrant musical heritage to be continued.

If you can donate a used instrument or help us to purchase anything from the following wishlist, you would be making a huge difference to our school and students.

"We need music in the world because the nature is music and so we can live happy"

If you can, print it out and put it on your school or office notice-board.  (There’s a place on page two of the document for you to write your name.)  There’s also a copy of the recent talent-show and music fund articles featured in our July 2007 newsletter.
