Specialist Volunteers

A number of people have come down to Honduras to spend a week, a month, or even longer assisting Mayatan.

For example, Viki Defferding, of George Fox University, took a sabbatical here and helped develop our Spanish-language curriculum.

Other visitors have assisted us by re-cataloging and re-shelving library books and designing and building playground equipment.

Speaking Spanish is not necessary, though coming to Honduras would provide you with a wonderful opportunity to practice. If you would be interested in long-term volunteer projects, please send an e-mail to: info@mayatanfoundation.org

Administrative Volunteers

From time to time, Mayatan Bilingual School has openings for long-term, non-teaching administrative volunteers. For example, this website was created by a long-term volunteer. If you have particular skills that you'd like to share with Mayatan, from technology to construction to fundraising and beyond, please contact us at info@mayatanfoundation.org and let us know how you might be able to help.
